If Broadcom cannot even allege facts that survive the initial Motion to Dismiss, it reduces the chances of a suit by anyone actually going to trial.

There is that.

The complaint which was dismissed was the amended complaint. It was probably filed as a result of pleading problems in the original complaint. As such, the amended suit probably represented BRCM's best effort at stating a claim.

The long term positive implications for Q from this ruling should it survive appeal are huge. It will deter future antitrust suits and remove a very significant cloud of doubt about its business model.

This is worth a 5-6 point boost, but I'm sure the market will not look beyond the BRCM-specific implications of the ruling.
