And if you must vote for Christians for public office, you've effectively established a religious test for public office which violates ANOTHER clause of the Constitution.

If there is a law that says you must vote for Christians sure.

But if you decide to only vote for Christians, or even if an organized block of voters decides to only vote for Christians the constitution is not violated. Note I'm not calling for or supporting any such decision, I'm just saying that the constitution doesn't control who you can vote for. Well there are certain requirements, for example a presidential candidate has to be at least 35 and has to be a natural citizen not an immigrant, but the constitution doesn't contain and any kind of affirmative action, or non-discrimination clause for voters.
