People in the main stream were mislead by Bush and Cheney. No wonder that they could not distinguish between the two. In my neck of the woods we call that lying. In your neck of the woods you call it being uninformed. It is the lying that causes the people to be uninformed. On September 12, Rumsfeld said "Maybe we can use this to get Iraq". It's a policy idea that begs for the truth be bent to allow the events of 9-11 to be an excuse to invade Iraq.
