06Q3 "Mid-Quarter Forecast" EPS Contest - Update epscontest.com Now that I've got a minute I thought I thought I'd elaborate on a couple items... PRIZES Still only one person eligible for a T-shirt out of all the existing entries. Plus remember that I'm also asking for your subscription choice info up front as well. Once you input this info you can basically forget about it for all future contests (unless you change your mind or if/when our T-shirt inventory changes). SITE CHANGES If you haven't visited the site lately I've made some minor changes, hopefully you'll consider them improvements. :-) When perusing contest pages the left menu will now expand for individual contests or globally as you choose allowing you to see links for a particular contest (default) or all contests. Also, the titles and subtitles of contest pages now also function as links for more intuitive navigation within a given contest. HUGE CONTEST While the contest has been enjoyable and gets a reasonable amount of participation, I think it'd be pretty cool to get LOTS more involvement. Particularly from thread regulars here, but also just in general. If you agree please recommend this post and/or reply with a suggestion of what you think we should do to increase involvement... If you haven't visited the entry form page lately, check it out. Everything you need to submit a reasonable entry is right there: epscontest.com INTEL LAYOFFS? Will this have an impact to EPS this quarter? You can tell that a couple entrants think so, but most apparently do not. What do you think? Tell us with an entry... WILL AMD "BREAK FREE" THIS QUARTER or JUST BREAK? Seems like whenver AMD is poised to do well something happens and they get put back in their historic place. Will this quarter be typical or, um, historic? NEXT WEEK I will be busy next week, so I'm not sure how often I will update the sortable entry pages. Now that we have the raw data page in real time that is much less of an issue than it used to be, but I thought I'd warn you anyway... Regards, JJ
