bp, Decline in stock price upon FDA approval has been rather common for Biotechs this year. The AMGN model may be of historical interest, but one of the reason I have predicted that LGND may be the next AMGN is the fact that there hasn't been any since (and its been 6 years). The quote on risk came from CNBC analyst, although I have noted the decline in price when approval was granted many times in the past 1-2 years.
