Relative to shares issued, I calculate the short interest to be 4.2% for the Thai Fund and 7.2% for Thai Capital Fund. I have seen much higher rates of short interest than this. It seems strange that it's hard to get shares for shorting. Maybe stock is tied up with institutions/ individuals that have registered the stock in their own name but I really don't know.
