9/1/06 Update
RKRW managed to hold on to first place despite a huge surge by Wilder's portfolio, stemming from the takeover bid for AOM by Genzyme. Both portfolios are, of course, turning in an amazing performance, with RKRW up 40.4% YTD and Wilder up 39.0% YTD at Friday's close.
Also, in general, biotechs had a pretty good week with the Nasdaq Biotech Index now down -4.03% YTD (vs. -6.60% YTD at its 8/25/06 close). The 40 Charity Portfolios' median improved even more over the week, closing down -3.06% YTD (vs. down -7.54% YTD at its 8/25/06 close).
At Friday's close, 14 of the 40 Charity Portfolios were in the black YTD and 21 of the 40 portfolios are outperforming the NBI.
Have a wonderful Labor Day weekend everyone!
