We can only guess why the full story was not divulged It does seem that the intent was not to enlighten but to frighten.

When every speech connects Saddam to Al qaeda to OBL to 9-11, it's plainly obvious what they were selling.

Rumsfeld said on 9-12, "Maybe we can use this to go after Saddam".

Now there is the motive as stated by the Secretary of Defense. Ok then looks to me like they used 9-11 to go after Saddam and they did it well. 7 out of 10 people actually believed that Saddam was responsible. How could the American people be so miss informed? Are you saying that 70% of the American people are stupid? Your buddy jlallen is saying that.
