I just logged onto my credit union account and saw a link for "Skip your Visa Payment" -- turns out, for $10, I can skip one month's payment without penalty, but of course keep paying interest etc. (or start paying interest, in my case).

What's interesting to me is that I've been banking with this CU for more than 20 years, and I've never seen such a promotion; and it's coming in late August/early Sept, not around or just after Christmas as I'd expect. It's like their customer base (or all of VISA's) can't stop themselves from piling on the debt for vacations they can't afford.

Probably not a good sign...
