You can see it the way we drive. People stay at orange lights for minutes too afraid to turn. They have the wheel in a death grip and they stay in the middle of the intersection .. you can see when you pull along side and make faces at the guy while making corkscrew motions with your hands and see his white face five day growth passive aggressive glare, that he spent 3 days reading his drivers manual to get his test and he considers himself an expert. One car on the yellow at a time. At this rate in Toronto traffic with the 30 cars waiting to turn at Dundas and Ave road it will be three days to make this intersection. I have actually got out of my car walked over to the driver, motioned for him to turn down the windshield and said.. "Excuse me, my name is Constable Richardson of the 51 division traffic, did you know that you are required by the HTA, section 66 to move into the middle of the intersection and as soon as it is clear turn on the yellow light? - You can be fined for blocking traffic, otherwise. Now I don't have my book with me and I am off duty, so I don't need the hassle but would you like to proceed while I stop the traffic for you?" Their eyes get very wide, the stammer and say "I had no idea, officer, yes I will look it up, of course." I then walk to the center lane and in plain clothes hold up my hand, stop the opposing traffic and wave him through. Works every time.
Soon women will start to give birth to live ten pound moths and cockroaches. The hand writing is on the wall. We have really screwed up the universe. Pretty soon all we will be able to drink will be environmental toxins. Pure food will make us sick. Bush is just a symptom, the disease runs deep.
