Israel uses collective punishment as a matter of policy. And Hizbullah is plotting a war of genocide against the Jews... That's sounds like a pretty damn "collective" punishment to me. Sometimes I wonder if the past 50 years since the end of WWII have actually made the world safer. Seems there was once a time when threatening genocide against another nation or people would have been condemned. And if you threatened a nation with a stronger military than your own, that would almost guarantee an "@ss whooping" until it was no longer desirable to make such threats. Now it's just the victim nation's fault because they are too harsh or indiscriminate in their retaliation... Dude.. there is no peace treaty between Israel and Lebanon. Never has been. And any armistice that existed had been violated over and over again by illegal militias and terrorist groups occupying S. Lebanon and using it as a base to wage war against Israel. The Palestinians were abandoned by the Jordanians to carve out their own peace with Israel. All of their populated territories, and the entire Gaza Strip has been turned over to their control. They were offered 95% of the West Bank in 2000, and the answer is that they gave was a second intifada. And to compound that lost opportunity, they have now elected a militant Islamist party who's very platform calls for genocide against the Jews. And even after the Israelis unilaterally pull out of Gaza, the Palestinians still shoot rockets at them and tunnel under their borders. But all you can focus upon is how the Israelis use collective punishment when they retaliate. Well, once again.. calling for the genocide of every Jew living in Israel sounds like a pretty "collective punishment" to me... Hawk
