>>then a continuously declining price for BRCM shares (starting yesterday) should send a signal to BRCM management that MAYBE their approach to the litigation mess that they initiated ...was (is) really stupid.<<

A few years ago I was watching a playoff game between Cleveland (I think) and the New Orleans Saints then coached by Jim Haslet. It was late in the fourth qtr and the Saints were down by one score when the Saints quarterback Aron Brooks injured his shoulder so badly that he was floating passes nowhere near his open receivers. The New Orleans fans were screaming for the coach to put in the backup, a then unknown Jake Delhome who evidently had been in two previous games and performed well when Brooks had previously injured his shoulder. The coach, as if his defiance were fueled by the screaming, as if to say "Screw all of you, I'm the head coach" left the injured Brooks in the game who continued on two separate possessions to sail passes high over the sidelines. After the loss Haslet, who should have been able to assess Delhome's ability far better than any on the screaming fans, stated in effect that he knew what he was doing and an injured Brooks was far better than a Jake Delhome anyday. The next season Delhome went to the Carolina Panthers, and he led his new team to the superbowl his first year leaving the Saints in his dust. Haslet was fired last year after another horrible season. Brooks was sent to Oakland. Delhome is still the starter for the Panthers who once again went far into the playoffs last year.
Some personality types would rather "cut off their nose just to spite their face". Having a good team (or any kind of organization such as a corporation, family, a group of persons with similar interests) is secondary to them never admitting a mistake, and they will exist in denial and nonsense, ignoring all responsibility of their position, running their team into the ground to meet their self serving agenda of "I am right". BRCM seems to be run by one of these types.
