Fitzgerald had to prove intent. Armitage was not aware of the fact that Plame was a covert agent, is she actually was. The only reporter that would have been aware of Armitage's involvement would have been Bob Novak, and he wasn't talking. Sometime ago (maybe as long as two years ago) Isikoff had an article that disclosed the fact that Armitage had the CIA report on Plame while he was on an Air Force One flight. Isikoff speculated that someone other than Armitage might have seen the report. I have been trying to get American Spirit to post a public apology to Karl Rove, or at least send him a card. No luck so far. LOL
