There's always something to do. New roof, paint, new kitchen and new doors and windows in the last year.

That's a lot of stuff. We could use new siding on the upper level, but if we get new siding, I'd like to have the windows redone, too, and the insulation reinforced and a Tyvek wrap.

Both boys in college now, though, the money is just flowing away faster than ever.

Ben's probably going to go to law school, and he is talking about UVA or Harvard. Both very good schools, of course, but UVA is public in-state. I guess we'll see how he does on the LSAT. Too bad he doesn't have a trust fund.

Thank heavens the ground floor and lower floor are brick. I wanted all brick, but no . . . .

Brick's more expensive up front but pays for itself over time, but no . . . .
