The CNN show "In the Footsteps of bin Laden" pointed out that the U.S. only had about 100 groundtroops at the Battle of Tora Bora. There didn't seem to be a serious interest by the chimpanzees to capture him. Since then he has simply been protected by the so-called ally Pakistan.
