Watched four of my friends run for local office, in opposition to the county political machine, Democratic. They got elected. Lots of work on lots of people's parts. Then the machine simply ratcheted up the legal system. One of them left office rather than face the serious legal costs that entailed. A little bit of Tim's tyranny at work.
