Rove's gay father may explain his duplicitous personality. The most virulent rightwing extremists of the 50's were closet queens, J. Edgar Hoover and Roy Cohn. It fits a pattern, just like Strom Thurmond the segregationist who had the secret black lover and child, and Jimmy Swaggart the ranter against "harlots" who turned out to be a hooker addict. We see this hypcorisy all the time on the far right. Santorum and Hastert are two more under question, as are Anne Coulter and Laura Ingraham on the lesbian side. Plus Bill O'Reilly the phone sexual harasser, Rush Limbaugh the drug addict and "moralist" Bill Bennett the gambling addict. There is a strong rumor out there that Rove is a closeted (self-loathing) gay, and even secretly married to Grover Norquist. He has been spotted a few times at gay bars in DC. The Jeff Gannon male escort scandal could also have been Rove's doing. Keep all this in mind next time the rightwing calls for a ban against gay marriage, even though democrats don't support gay marriage either.
