Do you really think the people on this thread are as stupid as the voters who buy the republican CLAPTRAP?

Payroll taxes cost the lower wageearners MOST. If I could opt out of that BS program, since I will get little or nothing out of it, I WOULD.

You'd be surprised at how many people would go for a flat tax if payroll taxes were included, as they should be. The problem with literally every flat tax proposal is that they exclude payroll taxes as if those are "not a tax". HAHAHAHHA! Every low wage earner in the nation would LOVE a 20-30% flat tax, since they pay 50% taxes now.
