Gary it is not immoral ( I suppose)to short a stock ( although we are going to have that debate another time ). It is wrong investment wise I believe because my reding of the literature tells me that most shorts come out on the short ( gg) end of the SHtick in the long run!
In the last 80 years the market has gone steadily up? Why are you betting it will go down?
