And that 7.5% you pay PER EMPLOYEE is something you never think about, right? Doesn't matter- free money?

What a bunch of claptrap.

That 12K per employee per year is a tax on that employee. It is paid by him, either in his lower salary or by himself if he is a schedule C. And, if he is under 40, this TAX will never be returned to him in any way.

Workers making under 85K pay at most 15% MORE than those that make over $170K, or at least 7.5% more. Its a disgrace. And nobody is falling for this regressionary BS anymore which is why "flat taxes" <wink, wink> that don't include payroll taxes are regressionary for workers making less than 85K are DOA.
