Fascist is a completely inaccurate term to describe Islamic extremists. The term fascist means rightwing military dictatorship with zealous nationalism. Al Qaida types don't even have a nation and are certainly not rightwing or even military.

Saddam was a fascist whose heros were Hitler and Reagan, but he's gone now. Now the only fascists left are the neo-fascista Bushies, especially Cheney, Anne Coulter, Sean Hannity and the extreme right of the Bushie brigade, but they are not marginal. They have a lot of power and will do anything to stay in power. Bush himself also shows fascist tendencies, quite a few of them. He recently put himself above the Constitution for instance. That is fascist-like.
