iHub blows away SI in terms of posts and traffic. It's at levels equal to or exceeding SI at its peak several years ago.

I consider it to be a strength that we have two successful sites that have such significantly different models. One allows moderators to ban subject to certain conditions, but they cannot delete, and there can be multiple boards per ticker. The other does not allow moderators to ban on stock boards, but they can delete under certain circumstances (subject to review), and there is only one board per ticker.

True, the rules for banning and deleting are not always abided by, but neither are the rules for posting. However; just like the overwhelming majority of posters abide by the site rules, the overwhelming number of moderators do to. It's the exceptions that are constantly the subject of controversy.

The two models offer something for everyone. Neither system is perfect. Nothing will ever be perfect when money, emotions, anonymity, and human nature are all ingredients tossed into the pot.

We know the spell checker needs lots of work, including a supplemental dictionary. I use IEspell in the mean time. <g>
