The difference being that Christianity behaved in an ancient brutal way way back during ancient brutal times. Muslism thus may seem to be somewhat out of wack, like 700 years behind the other world religions when it comes to co existence in a civilized way.

You may call me a butt hole for pointing that out but you know what - I don't give a hoot.

The Christian fighting in N. Ireland just ended ten years ago. Do we need to discuss the torture, the bombs, the shooting of nails into the knees of opponents, etc? Is the violence of Christians some how nicer than the violence of Muslims?

And lets not even think about the fact that colonial masters and petty tyrants have kept the average Muslim locked in a way of life that guaranteed a lack of progress and freedom. Oppressed people who become an underclass tend to get real religious and violent........look no further than the black riots in this country during the 1960s and 1970s and as late as the early 1990s, and last year's Algerian uprising in la belle France. To use your intellect and knowledge to ignore the history of Muslims.....the violence, inequality, poverty and oppression that have been their lot in history...... and to conclude that its simply the religion that is violent or that its a lack of evolution that keeps Muslims in a warring state is what makes you a butthole.

What the US is doing in Iraq is insuring that another generation of Iraqis will be nurtured on violence..........it will be the cause for abuse among spouses, a higher than normal murder rate, serious depression, increased stress, a violent society, corruption and decay. One day Americans will have to accept the notion that we as a people are violent and we are exporting that violence through our culture and our invasions.
