Why didn't the UN do that in the first place in order to avoid the Israeli retaliation? Maybe because the UN is impotent, under its current leadership?


LOL Hawk! No way did Israel want them mucking about. Remember, they don't negotiate with terror organizations. Except now they are going to. Oh my!

I admit it is possible that Israel's border with Lebanon might become more peaceful, but overall, Israel's standing with MODERATE Arabs took another pounding. That was the last thing they needed.
