That is precisely why we need to stand up and do something about the evil in Israel and the growing evil in the United States, as reflected in your stance on torture and war crimes.

Among the many crimes that need our attention is the Israeli use of cluster bombs. These bombs continue to kill and maim Lebanese civilians.

BTW, you have one hell of a nerve trying to come off as a person who cares about anybody else and their suffering, and even more nerve to suggest that I express "indifference to the plight of those less fortunate to you". Your blatant promotion of torture and your endless attempts to brush off war crimes committed against civilians shows you to be a person who given the chance would dishonor the US and would promote others to do the same.

I stand for the rule of law -- the very foundation of freedom itself. I stand for human rights, without which all else is meaningless. I stand for freedom of speech and democracy, and I believe it is the responsibility of free people in a free society to denounce those among us in our society who promote, excuse or commit torture and war crimes.

Squirm and weasel around these issues all you like -- to commit or enable torture or war crimes is to dishonor America.
