"That would allow people who are opposed to freedom to make new claims of our failures in Iraq."

That statement is just a propaganda prop and is utterly meaningless. Iraq is spiralling toward a civil war and the responsibility for that lies with the president. He failed as a leader for choosing to take the advice of people with no war experience. He chose instead to take the advice of people connected with those make and sell armaments and who provide services to the military. He chose not to take the advice of military people who have actually bloodied their hands in war.

No one hear is opposed to freedom. But let's call a spade a spade. The president doesn't know, never did know, what he was doing in Iraq. How could he, if he listens to Rumsfeld and Cheney and passes on the advice of Powell and others.
