Much of the land that Israel took in 1967 was taken so that israel was safe from attack. Much of it has been on the table to be returned since 1967 in return for a lasting peace. Had peace been achieved in 1967, do you honestly believe that the palestinians you claim to care so much about would still be in the position they are in.

You are ignoring the following facts:

1) Israel was created by immigration and land acquisition.

2) There are very vocal groups (yes minority perhaps) within Israel that advocate taking more land.

3) When Israel took more land, these groups succeeded in advancing Jewish outpost settlements, with the well stated goal of using civilian settlements as a tool to insure the land remained Jewish.

4) For important parts of the acquired territory (Jerusalem) the tactics of 3) above have succeeded.

What do you expect any awake Arab to think given the above?

Why didn't Hizbollah make the same provisions for the lebanese that Israel did?
