Did you notice the Israeli Army removing settlers and settlements as they tried unsuccessfully to hand back land to Palestine. Those settlers belonged to the vocal groups. having taken the land, it was impossible to protect it empty, and until the peace treaties were signed something had to be done with it. On jerusalem, you notice that while Muslims did not allow Jews to worship, Jews allow Muslims to worship. Handing Jerusalem back to the Muslims, and losing access to Jewish religious sites is not on. Those settlers were removed by Sharon, who earlier had championed their cause. They were removed sans a peace treaty with the Pals. After many years of no peace, even Sharon came to question the earlier goals and methods that he had supported. Did you notice that? As I have said many times before: Israel has a right to defend itself, and they are justified in using the enemies land as a buffer zone, BUT NOT FOR ECONOMIC GAIN. They should never have allowed civilian populations in. That simply showed all the Arabs that the worst claims of Zionism, were in fact true. Is that what Israel wants the Arabs to believe? If not, then don't be stupid.
