It is a bit late to try to squirm out of your well-earned reputation for promoting the use of torture and your endless lame excuses for war crimes.

I'm not squirming out of anything GST. I continue to hold to the use of "special methods" of interrogation, authorized at the highest levels of government for the purpose of obtaining information is specifically believed necessary to save human life. And I do not advocate that such methods exceed the levels of corporal punishment (permitted to be used against children).

However, circumstances must dictate, IMO. If I save the lives of a number of innocent people by extracting information from member of the terrorist group who is plotting an attack, then we must weigh the moral cost of using physical interrogation against the moral obligation to take all necessary steps to protect the lives of innocent people.

I DO NOT, like your Militant Islamist soulmates, believe in torture for the purpose of some kind of warped pleasure.

Now I'm willing to publicly state my preference for sacrificing the comfort of a terrorist for the purpose of preventing he and his associates from committing an act of murder.

Are you willing to publicly state that you are willing to condemn those innocent people to death in order to protect the comfort and dignity of the terrorist?

A simple yes or no will suffice.
