Rice told the 9-11 Commission " Who could have guessed that the terrorists would hijack planes and use them as weapons?"

Really now. They were war gaming that very scenario on 9-11. And they had anti aircraft guns in Washington for shooting aircraft that might threaten the government.

Even Bush had an anti aircraft battery on the hotel where he stayed on 9-10.

Surely they knew of the possibility of attack by air. Why tell that whopper?
