Work to lesson the appeal of the radicals. That is what I have long advocated. People are pretty much the same on both sides of this problem. Both have agendas, both have caused problems for the other side, both need to compromise, but both have "face" and public opinion problems on their own side.

Israel was removing settlements and trying to give Palestinians back more land. Palestine answered with more missiles and varied attacks including kidnapping an Israeli Soldier, and tunnelling towards access points. By that action the answer is to close the borders and stop giving them land. Surely someone on the Palestinian side bears some responsibility!!!!! What else do you suggest? If giving back land doesn't work, and if allowing them food through Israeli border points doesn't work, then the closing of Border points and starvation of the Palestinians seems like the proper response along with no further return of property until the Kidnapped soldier is returned.
