Agreed, Sailtrader. I'd have hoped that you would expand on this observation. Perhaps you still may?

I've come to expect such responses from various fora on the Internet, as, hopefully, many others here have, too. It's probably worth mentioning - or, questioning, as the case may be - the value of "community" in the facilitation of these processes, which is not the same as examining the effects of intimacy, which suggests a closer knowledge that neighbors have of one another in the fabric of physical or virtual connectedness that binds community members together. Internet communities, however, are often comprised of members who are entirely anonymous to one another, which makes the matter all the more intriguing ;)
