ANY AC 60-cycle 120 volt source would do. Motor-generator set, battery and DC->AC converter, solar and DC->AC converter. The problem is economics. All except possibly solar (depending on where you live and your access to sunlight) are unecomical- -you will pay more to generate that electricity than it would cost you to buy it from the power company.
