The "Christians" fighting in North Ireland just 10 years ago did not fight because they are Christians and wanted to eliminate other Christians in order to promote their one and only Christianity.

They fought for the independency of North Ireland from England and eventual alignment with the Republic of Eire.

Try again, Ted.

I see. The two problems have to be exactly the same right down to the nanosecond for them to be analogous in your book. Well let me point out that during the N. Ire. conflict each side very much wanted to eliminate the other side. BTW did I mention that the nail guns were used not on the opposition but on their own kind when a person was thought to be 'collaborating' with the enemy. Collaboration might mean a Catholic guy dating a Prot. girl. Shooting the nails into the knee was to insure that the person was crippled for life.

Let's have some more evidence supporting your grand thesis, that Christianity is currently no less brutal and debasing to human life than the particular aggressive current version of Islam driven from the Middle East.

Well, there was the Spanish Inquisition. And then they burned Joan of Arc at the stake for talking to God. How about the crusades when people were slaughtered because they were infidels? What about the very Christian KKK who hung and shot black men because they were seen talking to a white woman? Do you think those are symbols of non violence?

And didn't Bush invade Iraq, killing many thousands, because he believed that's what God wanted?

You may elate that to human life in general and what's more, to the lives of own women and children in particular, none of which are held precious by those same violent Muslims.
In this context I use "current" to cover the most recent couple of hundred years or so before Christianity came of age.

Apparently, you were not watching the video clips of Lebanon.....grown men sobbing because their child had been killed by an errant bullet or a cluster bomb. How dare you suggest that most Muslims do not care about their children or their women? Such lies accomplish nothing.

You are on a wrong avenue here, Ted.
You are not only an ignorant but an uninformed ignorant on top of that

And you are a biased individual who can't see straight because of his hate.
