MCLEAN, Va., Sept. 25 /PRNewswire/ -- BDM International, Inc. (BDM) (Nasdaq: BDMI), a multinational information technology company, was selected as a preferred Year 2000 contractor for the State of Maryland, according to Helen Seltzer, President of BDM Technologies and the executive leading the Company's Year 2000 practice. The Maryland Department of Budget and Management Office of Information Technology issued the contract, which has a $100-million ceiling, to BDM and other approved vendors to provide Year 2000 compliance services to more than 40 state agencies and departments, including Maryland's community colleges.

According to state officials, its agencies and organizations should achieve Year 2000 compliance by July 1999.
