CALGARY, Sept. 6 /CNW/ - Copper Fox Metals Inc. (Copper Fox or the Company) (TSX-Venture: CUU) is pleased to announce the results of the first batch of partial assays from eight holes of this year's drilling program at Schaft Creek in northwest B.C. These results are outlined below and the company expects further results shortly which will be reported as received. These results come from drill holes in a program designed to test historical grades contained in the extensive database accumulated from previous drill programs at Schaft Creek and to collect fresh samples for metallurgical testwork.
"The Company is very encouraged with these results. They confirm the database and continue to exceed expectations. Our current drilling program continues to exceed historical results in several key areas" said Guillermo Salazar, President and CEO of Copper Fox Metals Inc.

Drill Holes 06CF249, 06CF250, 06CF252 and 06CF253 were drilled into the West Breccia Zone. This zone is a typical breccia with high grade, narrow, quartz veins and stock works following a northerly trending, steeply dipping fault zone along the western edge of the deposit. The similarities in copper grade - see holes 06CF252 and T81CH179 or 06CF253 and DDHAS18 - are expected and the differences - see holes 06CF250 and DDHAS23 - are also expected variations in mineral habit typically found within this type of breccia. The gold grades reported here, (0.739 g/t gold over 89.85 m in 06CF251) together with very significant copper, molybdenum and silver grades were not known to exist in this deposit.
Significant copper values were found in holes 06CF249 (95.1 m. of 0.86% Cu or 24.5 m. of 1.29% Cu), 06CF252 (33.55 m of 0.67% Cu) and 06CF253 (51.94 m. of 1.0% Cu). Gold values of 0.725 g/t over 95.1m in hole 06CF249 are also reported.

Drill Holes 06CF251, 06CF254 and 06CF255 were drilled into the Main Liard zone. The results from the twinned holes confirm the previously reported values. The high grade gold found (1.476 g/t gold over 284.5 m. in 06CF255) is, once again encouraging. This confirms the presence of previously unknown high grade values in stock work zones within the Main Liard Zone as well as the West Breccia Zone. This hole also uncovered a high grade zone of 15.1 m assaying 0.34% copper, 0,013% Mo, 19.57 g/t gold and 4.1 g/t silver which includes a 2.9 m hole depth assaying 95.0 g/t gold and 14.7 g/t silver. Previously such high precious metal concentrations have not been known to exist in this zone or within the deposit. Although the Company attributes the difference in assay results between hole 06CF255 and its twin H70CH059 to the difference in core recovery and assaying methodology (the Laboratory is conducting two assay ton Fire Assaying for gold), check assays are being undertaken.

Hole 06CF284 was drilled into the East Zone of the Main Liard deposit. It encountered similar grades to those in hole DDHA12.
Company procedure is to have the laboratory send the results directly to its Quality Control person (Mr. Daniel Beauchamp) for his approval of procedures. Once Mr. Beauchamp is satisfied with laboratory procedure and quality of results, they are released to the Company, who reports them to the Public as received.
