When Blue Cross raises rates 20% and my school taxes go up to cover that, I'm paying taxes for someone's health care.

When costs go up a business will try to charge its customers more. The difference with the school taxes is that you don't get a choice but to pay the increase (at least no choice except that or move). The fact that governments have more power to pass along their costs to people isn't exactly an argument for increasing the costs paid through government. Quite the opposite I might think.

As for paying taxes for someone else's health care that is precisely what you would be doing (to a far greater extent) if either health care, or health insurance, was socialized.
