Putting Lieberman on the ticket had as much to do with the 2000 Bush win as Nader IMHO.

And Nader did NOT run in 2004 so that loss must be chalked up to the Dem's own incompetence and cowardice in the face of Bushie smears.

Even now many prospective Democratic voters will support the party only because Bush is so awful -- not out of any great enthusiasm for this "lesser evil".
