Isn't margin very similar to any other debt (mortgage / line of credit) just as long as "you know when to hold it or when to fold it"? Most people easily accept (or don't know) the fact that the bank owns their houses. They are just long term renters with an option to buy ... Not advocating debt as an instrument to build wealth but would there be wealth be without the use of debt?
