I don't believe that's correct.

They can't charge YOU anything beyond what Medicare pays if they accept any Medicare patients, even one. My primary care physician doesn't take Medicare patients. That's getting more and more common, I've heard. I'm not 65 quite yet but close. I have to make up my mind if I want to switch doctors before I get there. I've been thinking about this for several years now. May have already waited too long as many who now have Medicare patients aren't accepting new Medicare patients.
