Iran’s President Calls for Purge of Professors This is the NYTimes headline, Tim, for a story that pulled the following comment from me: Talk about your basic mirror image. You replied: What do you mean by that? I don't think it requires any serious comment. I know you know there has been a major effort on the part of several leading figures in the right wing in the country to do the same. I assume you also know that campaign has not been disowned by the present political leadership of the country. It's simply one more disgrace to mark these eight years. By the way, several headlines and stories on the Iranian story included the term "liberal" to describe these professors. Need I say more?
