Tim, read my comment again. Then read yours. Note that you've said something I did not say. If we are going to argue about this, you had best make accurate quotes.

Let me repeat. We have had, for several years, a campaign by several leading figures from the right wing of this country to get "liberal" professors fired. Fortunately, they are several steps away from the power to do so. One of the major institutional differences between the US and Iran right now. But, it's not for lack of trying on the part of several on the right.

And it's quite important that attacks on universities of these sorts have not been disowned by the present political leadership of the country.

Critical thinking is something that ideological types fear.
