No its odd even considering that idea. The disparity is too great.

Also as shown later in my post the Bureau of Economic Analysis site shows solid growth in personal income over that period. The personal income figure was not adjusted for inflation but even after the adjustment there is still growth. (from $ 7,658.4 billion to $ 9,093.2 in 1999 dollars)
