PE, re: <Katmai in the 2H>

I've only heard of Deschutes and Merced, the hybrid RISC/x86 chip. First I heard of Katmai is a couple days ago. Can you give some references?

Regarding 68mm K6, which of the following do you think about it:
1. Its won't be produced
2. It's for notebooks only
3. It's for notebooks but also 266 and 300 MHz (possibly higher) desktops.

Case (3) makes the most sense if its packaged as a socket 7 cpu. If you run it at higher voltages, you can get the 266 and 300 MHz speed for desktop systems -- at lower voltages, the 200 and 233 MHz for notebooks. Kill two birds with one stone.
