In a short-term liquidity crunch, dollar demand (and price) should go up. A very reasonable scenario is the dollar going to 88 and gold to 590 or so, coincident with a stock market boo-boo, before the next serious leg up in gold.

Gold and miner stocks will be the next bubble, but they're not ready yet. IMO.
