It's so hard to talk about Katrina with people who aren't from NOLA. Nobody from NOLA thinks about things the way y'all outsiders do.

We don't think about Bush, or Nagin, or deserting cops, or any of that crap. That's all in the past, and not worth remembering.

We think about the present and the future. When we think about the past we think about the things we lost.

(Yes, I live in Fairfax VA and will never live in NOLA again, but I am still "from New Orleans" [and Baton Rouge] and always will be.)
