Since Palestinians have been deliberately killing children for a long time, and Islamic Jihad in general finds them useful targets [check out Beslan for the Islamic Jihad educational programmes for children] one would want to stay ahead on the scoreboard or at least not get too far behind. Although one might then not bitch when others consider you in the same light, eh?
