Hi JT,

Wanted to follow up my not very complimentary comment on Waterhouse.
The problem apparently was on my side; for some reason the software
my ISP uses (Concentric) won't let me into my account. Took lots
of time to figure it out, but looks like Waterhouse is not responsible.
So, want to give proper credit. Still don't like that they won't
accommodate you when Webbroker is slow, but . . .
Also, they say that they are adding two more hosts, so speed should
improve.
Re: the other way to get in, it is I think through www.investor.com,
which I've found pretty useless with Netscape; it's designed,I think,
for Microsoft's products.
One thing I've done is to obtain the Waterhouse software that allows
you to connect directly to them without using the Web. It is basically
free if you use it only for trading and not too much for looking up
quotes, etc. A nice back-up to the Web.

By the way and off-topic, I've gotten a lot from your comments on the
Idea thread and have you bookmarked. Weren't you going to start some
discussion on politics and impacts on the market? Not that the thread
necessarily needs more topics, but if relevant then I'd like to hear
your thoughts on that topic.
