Friday September 8, 10:57 am ET

NEWARK, DE--(MARKET WIRE)--Sep 8, 2006 -- O2Diesel Corporation (AMEX:OTD - News) a pioneer in the development of cost-effective, cleaner-burning, alternative diesel fuels for centrally fueled fleets, stated that on September 7, 2006, US Environmental Protection Agency Administrator Steve Johnson announced the first proposed regulations for the Renewable Fuels Standard, which President Bush signed into law in August of last year. Administrator Johnson made this announcement during a visit to the first-of-its kind integrated biorefinery designed by Prime Biosolutions, in Mead Nebraska. During this visit, Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman, Administrator Johnson, many members of the biofuels community and the press were able to experience another first. They were able to tour this highly innovative ethanol facility on board the first school bus to run on O2Diesel's proprietary ethanol diesel fuel blend.
O2Diesel is proud to introduce the first school bus using O2Diesel(TM), together with the visuals of the CityHome(TM) campaign for its new school bus initiative. It is intended that this new program will expand in the Midwest with pilot programs that will be announced shortly in conjunction with the Ethanol Information and Promotion Council (EPIC). E3 BioFuels LLC, owners of the innovative Mead Ethanol Facility, became supporters of the CityHome program earlier this year.
