I am in favor of rising oil prices, there are many alternatives to gas guzzling SUVs at this point, the VCs are funding Li ion batteries which are being used in cars in china, and there are large solar investments being made. Cheap fuel prices have hampered new developments in energy for years. With Bush in the white house, we have taken a huge step backward, just like the 70s, going to war for oil that is in nobody's best interest except a few of Bush's well connected friends. Anyway this war has been a huge failure and oil is rising so here comes some alternatives. I am all for it.
